Flavonoids and Cytotoxic Activity of Gentiana algida Pall

Article Preview

Abstract:

Four flavonoids were isolated from the EtOAc extract of Gentiana algida Pall. The structures of these compounds were elucidated as: patulitrin (1), Isoscoparin (2), swertisin (3), swertiajaponin (4). These compounds were identified on the basis of comparing their NMR datas with those of corresponding compounds in the literature. The cytotoxic activity of all these compounds were investigated on the growth of HepG-2 cells, the result showed that compound 2 have high cytotoxic activity, the IC50 value is 47.25g/ml.
