posted on 2023-02-24, 08:46 authored by marilena daquinomarilena daquino, Arcangelo Massari, Silvio PeroniSilvio Peroni, David ShottonDavid ShottonThis document describes the OpenCitations Data Model (OCDM), the data model used to model all such bibliographic and citation data exposed in any OpenCitation dataset in RDF, the ‘language’ of the Semantic Web, in particular by employing the OpenCitations SPAR (Semantic Publishing and Referencing) Ontologies. Such usage permits the publication of bibliographic and citation data as Linked Open Data, thereby conferring machine readability and interoperability of the data on the Web. This OpenCitations Data Model may also be employed by third parties, either for their own use or to structure their data for submission to and publication by OpenCitations.
